What is the Senior Legacy?
The Senior Legacy is your opportunity to give back to the University of Florida and show that you realize how important it is to support UF. Since 1995, graduating seniors have given thousands of dollars in support of programming at the university. These students have left a legacy of excellent programming and resources for future Gators—including you.

Why should I participate in The Senior Legacy?
If you believe that the experience of being a Gator has and will continue to have a positive impact upon your life and if you want to make sure that future students have the same great experience, then you can do so by participating in your Senior Class Gift.

How much should I give?
Every senior is being asked to give $20.07, in honor of your graduation year, to this year’s campaign. While the majority of gifts will be at this level, we often receive gifts of $50 and even $100. Any amount helps your university. We want our seniors to participate at any level that is comfortable for them.

Why does my participation matter?
Your contribution obviously benefits the students who will follow you. In addition, your support impacts UF’s national rankings. These rankings are partially based on the rate of alumni support. These rankings add value to your degree. Your support of the University of Florida will count as alumni support!

And if that doesn’t convince you…your support will help us beat the University of Tennessee Volunteers! This year, The Senior Legacy Committee has set up a friendly competition with UT. The rules are simple…the school with the greatest number of students contributing to the 2007 Senior Legacy wins! Please make your gift, of any amount, by April 30 to carry Florida to victory over Tennessee!

Where does my money go?
Wherever you want it to go! Seniors may designate their gift to any of the following areas:

• Your college
• Your department
• Student Affairs programming (Gator Nights, Recreational Sports, etc.)
• University Libraries
• Selected student organizations
• A specific scholarship

What do I receive for contributing?
All seniors who contribute to the 2007 Senior Legacy campaign will receive this University of Florida lapel pin to show your Gator pride in those upcoming job interviews and at Gator events.
