Family Fund

Welcome to the University of Florida family! We are so proud to have your son or daughter as a member of The Gator Nation.

The Family Fund is a way for you, as a parent or guardian, to actively participate in the education of your student. Contributing to the Family Fund allows the University of Florida to offer incredible programs specifically designed to assist your son or daughter throughout their UF experience.

Support to the Family Fund enhances the Division of Student Affairs in many ways, including:

Career Resource Center: The CRC is one of the largest and busiest in the country serving over 130,000 visitors each year. The CRC provides UF students with career development and guidance support. The center also brings nearly 1,000 recruiters to campus for the career fair. The CRC arranges about 10,000 employment interviews for students on campus each year.

Counseling Center: The Counseling Center is available to all students at UF. In addition to traditional counseling services, the Center provides resources for time management, test anxiety, math confidence and stress management. For our new students, the Center helps them adjust to a college lifestyle as well as guide students in academic major and career choices. Students are welcome to visit for advice from qualified professionals, trained to handle each student’s unique needs.

Gator Nights: Gator Nights is an award winning, nationally recognized on-campus late night alternative for students. Every Friday night, students enjoy activities such as rock climbing, arts and craft, and even free movie screenings at the Reitz Union. Gator Nights provides free food throughout the night as well as a midnight breakfast for students.

Gatorship: This leadership retreat for student leaders addresses current leadership issues through team building activities and group discussions over the course of a weekend. Students at the UF have opportunities to improve their leadership skills through Gatorship along with over 900 campus organizations.

Florida Alternative Breaks: This program is an opportunity for students to participate in community service projects both locally and regionally during their Spring Break. Gators work on projects such as animal refuge, hurricane disaster relief and environmental preservation.
